Had a really good night’s sleep, I thought sharing would be weird but it’s been fine.
We all got up earlier than usual to walk to the end of the beach, set off at 8am. We were shocked how busy it was, people walking, swimming, running and very active dogs running around and playing.
I tthought I had a lovely video of them, but it just consists of me saying hello, then finished. User error or hand jogged by puppies?
The walk was gorgeous. Photo overload time…

We all agreed we’ve fallen in love with Agonda, it’s stunning with lovely people, quaint shops and delicious eateries.
We’d reserved sunbeds at Madhus and after breakfast resumed our supine positions. It didn’t take too long to give up on my book and feel restless.
Liz was up for a stroll, we walked as far as the end of the shops, then back, down by the church and off to the pharmacy. We were right out into the beautiful countryside before we got there. I got some antacids and antihistamines. She suggested some which have a cough suppressant in them. Ohhhh if only they are the answer to my never ending cough dramas.
By the time we got back Kev & Sharon had gone. We sat for a while and went back to our little terrace.
Michael was having a drama.. He has been fined by the Police for not wearing a helmet on his scooter. He was talking to the owner, and another guy, we think he might be the guy he rented the scooter from. They said just pay it. 1000 rupees. About 9 pounds.
During 30 minutes or so the conversation fluctuated. He was going to go to Palolem and just pay it. He wanted photographic proof he wasn’t wearing it. They’re all corrupt. He’s not paying it. Lots of f ing of effing he came to tell us all about it.
“Were you wearing your helmet? " no probably not” why not”” because of my ears, I have to have sensory ability” Get a letter from your Dr then ” said Liz.
He wanted our sympathy but as mums we would want our son protected. He has ridden bikes since he was a child and his reflexes are so fast he could protect himself from everything.
Anyway, he apologised for swearing in front of ladies and is going to beat the police up if they come looking for him. He beat up 2 last year. Oh and in the UK the police follow him all the time, even though he does nothing wrong.
I do actually feel sorry for him, he’s polite, friendly, crazy and has an innocence about him all at the same time. I always think I can fix everyone.
In tthe evening we had dinner at Rhino’s, recommended by Mick and Dave. It was excellent. We all enjoyed our curries, even had fried ice cream afterwards.
The others have led me astray. They’ve been buying brandy, bacardi and rum. I bought a bottle of vodka for 280 (2.27 pounds) rupees and a carton of fruit juice for 120.
( I’ve ellost my sterling symbol again)
A few games of cards. It’s getting more competitive now and the rules seem to get more complex the more I drink. I’m sure they keep changing them!
