This morning we took a right turn from where we’re staying and by accident discovered a shorter route to the beach. Liz spotted a pair of trousers she liked at the little beach shop, we ignored her and made sure she didn’t get a chance to go and buy them.
There were very few sunbeds left, but we managed to get 4 at Little Palms shack. We were hoping it would be better than Sunset where the omelettes weren’t great and they forgot mine completely.
Little Palms was worse, although my pineapple pancake was fine. Kevin and Sharon ordered chocolate pancakes.

Not what they’d imagined and they could have re-soled their shoes with them.
Sharon snuck off to buy Liz’s trousers and spotted a place we hadn’t seen before and booked us in for breakfast tomorrow. We wanted to do something different for Lizs birthday.
The rest of the beach day was lovely and peaceful. Mobile phones have been the bain of many beach days, 2 Indian lads had spent the day speaking loudly to each other and on endless phone calls on speakerphone. People play incessant video clips with no earphones everywhere. One British couple had their own music on loud, it was club type music, still annoying even though they did at least turn it down.
It was great to have peace and quiet and the only issue was the 3 Russian ladies smoking next to me.
Kevin and Sharon went back to start some packing. It’s been so complicated. We’re not on the same flights back. We booked the accommodation thinking we’d all be checking out before 10am on the 1st of March. Liz and I don’t actually go until 5 to midnight on the 1st and will be homeless from 10am on Sunday.
Sharon has been messaging the owners to extend checkout, but no response. We’ll work something out for sure.
Liz and I decided to go to Majorda, just up the coast again. We did the journey in reverse, a beautiful stroll by the sea and back along the road on the way back.
Liz replaced her brandy and I’m looking for Southern Comfort for John. It’s not sold here but AI has given alternatives, (which are rum based, very odd) We can’t find those either. It was good to have a nice walk, just under 7km.

We all got ready to go to Martin’s Corner. I didn’t bother with Google maps, we’ve been twice before. After wondering why we didn’t recognise anything and how 13 minutes had become 40 I got the map out. After a few bends and a very dark little track we arrived.
Live music, a different group, they were pretty good, the usual Dancing Queen, Boney M, Hotel California but many newer songs too. No knock knock knocking on Kevin’s door, a little disappointing.
This was my 3rd Chicken Biryani at Martins, I just couldn’t bring myself to deviate. Liz stuck to her paneer tikka masala and the others had steaks. The service wasn’t up to it’s usual standard bur 10/10 for the food and ambience
No drinks, snacks, no cards later because we’d spent too long getting lost earlier on.
Cant believe we’re so close to leaving now.
