Sharon booked nearby Zen Gardens as a surprise breakfast for Liz’s birthday. We’ve not been before, but all we knew was that it was a buffet.
We were stared at as the only foreigners. It was predominantly an Indian breakfast but had delicious rolls, toast and mixed fruit jam. There was fresh papaya and watermelon and choco flakes. I do love a choco flake.
There were some things that looked like doughnuts but were savoury, they were pretty good.
An Indian couple with a small child had everything from Baby Shark to Ba ba whatever sheep it is these days, blaring out. Liz spoke to the waiter, he spoke to them, they took no notice and sat grinning.
Later the waiter said the child cries without it. In my day we’d have been sent to cry outside and come back when we could behave.
I took leftovers to the dogs that had greeted me outside. One was very naughty and kept coming back in.
Suitably stuffed with all sorts we headed to the beach. Baggies shack this time, he didn’t care that we only ordered drinks.
Another tough day on the beach, we went back to our apt and sat by the pool for a while watching the birds.
Kevin and Sharon finished their packing ready for their 4.30am flight tomorrow morning.

We got changed and set off to Cota Cozinha restaurant.
Liz looked fabulous in the trousers we bought her.

The food was fab, I decided to finally have something other than biryani and had butter chicken and rice. Great restaurant, we all enjoyed our meals.
By now the news had filtered through that the US and Israel had launched strikes against Iran. Hmmm.. This could affect our flights home…
Kevin and Sharons flight was cancelled. A large beer for Kevin and a Whisky sour for Sharon, determined not to let it spoil the evening.
Mine and Liz’s flights via Mumbai tomorrow are still showing.
Not holding our breath.
Thinking of those poor people now stuck in the middle East and those in Iran. It must be so scary.
