I forgot 2 things about yesterday in amongst writing about all the hilarity.
Mango Lassi at Anjona Cafe. Omg, I had 2, they were so good.
Wilson.. Wilson was our taxi driver from Majorda. In the space of 5 minutes he told us his life story. He spoke perfect English at a rate of 100 words a second. What a character. When he dropped us off he was so apologetic in case he had said anything he shouldn’t. Quite the contrary, I just wished it had been a longer journey. What a guy!
So today we decided to go to Benaulim, someone has a birthday soon and we want to buy her a present. It’s proved difficult, on so many occasions we’ve made a note to sneak off and buy something, but she’s gone back and bought things for herself. She’s a nightmare in the loveliest way.
Liz and I decided to walk to Benaulim. An hour and a quarter.
Google doesn’t take into account time taken in pharmacies, I’ve almost emptied all the pharmacies of Relent, an antihistamine with a cough suppressant, that seems to be helping me. Liz bought a blood pressure monitor. As you do.
It also didn’t account for Megamart either. Megamart is the biggest supermarket we’ve seen in 4 weeks. It’s funny here, biscuits come in the tiniest packets. I was so excited to find Hobnobs. I bought a variety of biscuits and got my ginger and garlic paste

Next stop, get a pineapple and have it sliced. Delicious.

Kevin and Sharon passed us in their taxi but we wanted to do the last 15 minutes.
The familiarity of Benaulim felt so nice and we were soon joining Kevin & Sharon at Roger’s.
We’ve missed Roger’s. The food is always spot on. Kevin would have liked a larger breakfast though.

Later we left the beach for shopping spree take 2.
I bought 2 beach covers and a shirt, but otherwise it was just a nice browse. It was nice to see familiar faces.
We had dinner in Savios, I asked if any curries have cashews and was persuaded to have Thai fried chicken with cashews. It was OK, but not as nice as the one I make myself.
By the time we got back it was late.
No snacks, no cards, just a very lovely day.
