If anyone hears me complain at the end of this year that I haven’t had enough beach days or opportunity to sunbathe feel free to remind me of these last 6 weeks.
I have never spent so much time horizontal. I’m surprised I haven’t got bed sores.
After muesli, curd, honey, toast and jam in the apartment we set off for Bullion Bar pool. It was beautiful as usual, a nice breeze, shady side of the pool and the water has a slight chill as you get in. Perfect. They do great mango lassi too.
I started searching for games to help me pass the long hours at the airport when we hopefully get to leave. I’ve been drawn into Mahjong. Weirdly addictive, totally pointless and as Kevin said, it’s basically snap.
I’ve started doing Wordle again and completed it easily the last 2 mornings.
We had a fab meal at Bullion later, all opting to upgrade our meals to set meals. It included rice and onion bhagees with my delicious cashew curry. Perfect, but actually way too much.
We left around 7.30pm, Liz and I opted to do a longer route home, past a hazardous waste plant, along along along and came out at Joe Cons shack by the beach. There were a handful of clothes shops, each providing plenty of hassle. One more thing to add to my Goa dislikes.
There were just 2 shacks, then a long stretch backed by palm trees. The sea was almost black in the darkness and the sand gave our calves a good work out.
We got back to an almost asleep Sharon and an Episode of Modern Love playing. When it finished we all filtered off to bed. It was only 9pm. We’re getting earlier and earlier.
I’m surprised I fell asleep so early. At 10.20pm I woke, is it today or tomorrow? Can we go home yet please?
