We were all up and on it today, the Bullion restaurant are saving 4 sunbeds at the Woodside Inn for us. We had a quick toast breakfast. Well, I say quick – 2 slices at a time and unless you push it down very firmly you could be waiting all day.
The large pool at Woodside felt slightly chilly as I got in, compared to the one where we’re staying, which is basically a luke warm bath. I completed 10 lengths. With that and 10 minutes at the gym yesterday I’ll soon lose the many kilos I’ve piled on since we got here.
Really enjoyed their perfect mango lassi and watching UK Column and MAFS on my phone with plenty of shade and a cooling breeze.
Tried reading for a little while. It just doesn’t go in. As a kid my parents would be calling and calling me to be ready for school while I was reading just one more chapter. I was the ultimate book worm.
Our day was perfect, we had our main meal there with Kevin’s plan to change things up by having a film night and snacks tonight. Great idea.
I had biryani, nice but not up there with some of the best. I’m definitely going for Sharon’s cashew curry next time.

Unfortunately I wasn’t back in time for the treadmill. There goes my weightloss plan. They shouldn’t close at 6pm.
We all got take away leftovers for later.
Film night began. A bit of a curfuffle getting the laptop positioning and mood lighting just right. Kevin had a selection of ‘boys’ stuff downloaded. I suggested Vladimir as a possible for all of us. We changed it after 20 minutes. It’s a bit mumbly for a small device. I might download it for the flight home.
We watched the first episode of a crime thriller, Him & Her.
Liz went off to bed at 9.30pm. I collected everything I needed and crept into the bedroom after our first episode finished. Emmerdale was playing at full volume, Liz was fast asleep. I put my headphones in and tried watching MAFS but couldn’t really hear it.
I jumped out my skin at the 2 phone calls that followed later. At least I’ll be unlikely to wake at 7am tomorrow morning.
I’ve put my clothes in the bathroom just in case. The gym doesn’t open until 9am, so I might try running outside before too many people are up and about to witness my strange strides.
