Time to continue our travels.

Naz was all finished and we were on the road by midday. There was a last minute panic over a necessary tiny O ring, the young lad scoured the sanay, but no! Ömer rummaged around and found one. Thank god.
Our final bit of our bill.. 450tl for the cam shaft, 70tl for a glow plug, 200tl for something else we can’t remember and 80tl for the turning company next door. Other customers were sitting on the sofas, Ömer rang the parts company on speakerphone, he could have easily added a chunk more, we’d never have known. His honesty and integrity is amazing.
Ömer said his labour bill was 3000tl but for us 2,500tl. Absolutely no way! We gave him 3800tl and 200tl for the young lad Ali, who was mortified and said no, but John insisted. £343
Ömer took us on a long test drive. He then swapped sides and told John to take it slow and steady on hills as new, to use low gears and told him off when he knocked her out of 3rd gear at the lights.
We went and said goodbye to the lads who have done a superb job of our bumper.
It was all really emotional saying goodbye, the tow truck guy next door said we were family now and must come back and drink tea and his mate is still laughing about me re enacting John Cleese and hitting Naz with a branch 😂🌿.

Hardest was saying goodbye to Ömer, I think he was shocked by my big hug and tears and Ali was mortified once more when he got a hug too.

There were other customers there ooing and ahhing about this emotional farewell. Ömer went straight off to his next vehicle, I think he might have had a little tear in his eye.
Thank goodness the puppy wasn’t around, I’d have been in bits.
We can honestly hand on heart say we enjoyed our time at the sanay!
So.. Onwards… We’d studied the map and had 3 choices. John suggested the middle one through to Cappadocia. 6hrs 50 mins.
Naz is running like a dream, so much quieter and John said even the gearbox feels smoother.
Soon we were definitely in a maize area, covered bales everywhere.

We stopped for a late Turkish breakfast at Takaz in the Malatya region. Beautiful setting.

When we the reached Kayseri area we were most definitely in dried apricot land. I love seeing the different food areas.

We didn’t get to our overnight stop in Ürgüp, Cappadocia, 480 km from the sanay until 9.15 pm.
I chose a park up from Park4night that promised fabulous views, we’ll have to wait until the morning to find out.
Alarms are set for 6 am ready for 6.30 am sunrise.
