3.3.23
I needn’t have worried about getting chilli bottom because at 2am I was very sick, and again at 4.30am.
I felt so tired but at 5am the noise started downstairs, food chopping, small boy alternating between grizzling and repeating the same couple of words over and over (I’d forgotten that annoying stage) and then Grandma started.
They might as well have been in our room, although not room for anyone else in there.
When John woke up and asked how I was, I said I’d be fine with some sleep.
He went up to the roof terrace, but I gave up on sleep as their tv downstairs was very loud.
We hadn’t got any definite plans for today, only to explore locally so thats what we did.
We walked over the huge bridge to the beach area. It was very odd, no one around and shops all closed.

We assume that the big hotels are being built to make the most of the beautiful sandy beaches, there’s so much construction going on.
We stopped for late lunch. I had a cola, John chose a noodle dish from the board. “That says snails” he said, “no no, not snails” she said as she showed us on translate although it definitely mentioned snails.
Anyway, it was snails and apart from being a bit chewy John enjoyed his lunch.
I bought 2 plain rolls in the bakery but only managed to eat 1.
We went back and sat on the roof terrace and played rummicub. So warm today, really lovely.
This evening’s food search didn’t go too well. John had seen custard tarts online, so we headed off the the bakery, 15 minutes away. They were tiny and overcooked. This whole street was full of much larger, smarter shops, clothes, electrical and beauty salons mainly, so we did a detour back in the general direction that we came from.
John was on the hunt for more Cosy Choc chip cookies, we didn’t find any, all the different smells just made me feel sick again.
Thankfully John opted for a pork and salad baguette and we didn’t have to sit in anywhere surrounded by gizzards.
We stopped and bought mocha and caramel frappes on the way back, but I only managed about half of mine.
I’m sure I’ll be fine after a good nights sleep.
