Our last day, it’s gone way too fast.
1.2.24
We were a little disappointed to find out that airport pick up is 1.45pm and we have to be out of our room by 9am. However we can still use our suits and boots.
After a fab brekkie we went out for a walk. Carol has remembered who wanted a magnet and I’m determined to have a Dime bar cornetto.
It was a different picture today, with snow falling and grey skies.
Our little reindeer looked very sad and cold.

The ice cream was very good. I wasn’t tempted by some of the other flavours.

The cafe wasn’t open even though it said it opened at 10am.It was 10.30am. Eventually the penny dropped- we realised its only 9.30am in Sweden!
We crossed back over to Finland and went to a lovely café, run by a Macedonian lady. Another nationality for the list.
Carol had an alcoholic Glögg, very much like mulled wine, and a caramel doughnut.

My americano was more like an espresso and delicious.

We saw a very happy snow mobile.

By the time we walked back the sky was a deep blue.

Lunch was a bit disappointing today, but never mind. on the whole its been delicious, we certainly can’t complain about the standard and amount of choice.
We left for the airport at 1.45pm for our 4.15pm flight. Our Enter air flight was delayed until 5.30pm as it was late coming in from Manchester. We saw other friends from Türkiye just arriving. I felt jealous that they still had it to look forward to.
All boarded at 5.15pm. We were subjected to the worst possible theme park music on a loop for 30 minutes. Who did the market research for that?
There were very (forecasted) heavy storms and they tried and tried to de-ice the plane but the chemical wouldn’t stick to the plane.
They told us later that the ground staff wouldn’t try de-icing any more and that it wasn’t safe to take off. The wind was so strong that the plane was really wobbly.
The airport was closed and they were getting staff back in to open it for us. They did a roaring trade in onboard alcohol, Pringles, shortbread and pizza slices until they ran out…a lot of hungry passengers were complaining.
At 9.15pm, 4 hours later, they off loaded us and our bags. They didn’t so much as offer anyone any water and the cafe wasn’t open in the terminal.
No way we’ll be flying back to Turkey tomorrow morning then.
They told us that buses would pick us up at 11pm. We had to wait til 11.15pm for Gabby from Transun, who kept making a point of telling us she wasn’t a rep.
It was an almost 2 hour drive to our hotel. We had been told we’d be flying at 11am tomorrow, but Gabby happily announced we weren’t flying until 2pm and we could all have a lie in with a huge smile on here face. Her news was met with loud groans. We just wanted to get home.
After 1am we arrived at Levi Sakos Hotel. All very posh, in a large ski resort. It was the most life we’d seen since leaving Newcastle.
There were food boxes for us, cold tomato pasta with huge cold meatballs and a little box of biscuits, half a dozen chocolates and a bottle of water. It was very welcome though.

Gabby came over. We all tried really hard to get the point across that Transun could lose future custom as the way Enter Air treated us was appalling. She must pass on our feedback. She was too busy talking over us about the 2 admin staff who coordinated our hotels and all the sandwiches that were made and how it wasn’t her fault.
She totally missed the point, it was obvious that no way was she going to report back to Transun
We got to room 187 after drama with the lift that wouldn’t move and having to take the stairs. Carol kept tapping the card then went down to reception who confirmed the card was fine.
However it worked perfectly for room 179 where we should have been!
Our room was lovely and even had a sauna off of the bathroom.
Shame they didn’t get us off the plane 5 hours earlier, we could have used it and explored the resort. A basic room on booking dot com was €254.
The bed was so comfy although I think I could have slept on an ice block with a reindeer skin.
Alarms set for 8am. The latest update is that we will definitely fly tomorrow at 2pm, breakfast will be at 9am. The last I remember it was 3am and Carol was giving me Facebook updates whilst I grunted 😂😂
Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
