A summary of a fabulous 2 weeks.

So hard to say goodbye.

I’m currently writing this from goodness knows where on the way to Bangkok from Sydney. I guess it’s feasible 2 hours on, that we could still be Australia as there’s miles of deserty red and brown rock landscape.

We should have taken off at 7.40am, instead it was 10.10am.

Our Air Asia plane was sitting there for hours and for some strange reason they waited til we were all on board to refuel. Really annoying as it’s Johns birthday today, we got up at 4.30am and I assured him we’ll be in Bangkok by the afternoon. He’s been fast asleep as there’s hardly anyone on board, so people are sprawling across the middle 3 seats.

We booked flight meals, they weren’t great. Really stingy being given 0.33 bottle of water for John, although my coffee was great.

There’s no way I could write up everything we’ve seen and done in the last 12 days so just a summary and lots of photos.

In chronological order..sort of.

Melbourne

Cold and rain every day, but we didn’t care as we spent lots of time with Johns son, fiancé, and his 2 year old and 11 week old gorgeous grandsons.

Thanks so much for the airport trips and lending us your car to avoid getting drenched.

Lovely smiles, laughter, a trip to the park, cuddles, tears,  shopping, quiche wars, cuddly bear, dinosaurs, swimming lesson, a trip into town and of course our nearby Airbnb with such lovely hosts.

Sydney

It was warm and sunny everyday, with brisk chilly winds in exposed areas. We’ve only visited in summer before but had lots of rain, so this was perfect.

Highlights..

My baby girls 37th birthday, long beautiful walks ; Spit to Manley, Coogie to Bondi, Ikea for meatballs, shopping mall, stunning beaches, bush turkeys, National Parks, 2 night trip to beautiful Norah head, a huge air bnb, dolphins, pelican feeding, battered savs, shopping, NFL state of origin rugby, fab chauffeurs, Colin from Accounts, pornstar martinis, lemoncello cocktails, pokies, Codenames, Golden Gaytimes, Tim Tams, Violet crumble chocolate and ice creams, Shapes biscuits, unsuccessful whale watching, although they were around in Coogie earlier, birthday cake, 2 Indians, Johns birthday, home made meals and goodies, Adrians brekkies, bedtime baby girl cuddles and then time to say goodbye. Hate that bit. It’s the worst.

Unfortunately WordPress is being awful. I’ve spent hours trying to add the photos and now they’re not in any order.
