Not the best, but the day got better.
Another full English brekkie but reigned it in a bit as we will be back on board for lunch.
Heraklion is uninspiring but we all got the bus into town to try and work off some of the excesses with a wander round the town.
Back on board for 11.30 am departure and lounged on the top deck with Bailey’s iced coffee and even finished reading a book I started about 3 months ago. It ended as poorly as it started.
After a delicious lunch of lasagne we went to get our tender boat tickets for Santorini and to see if we could sneakily take photos of our photos taken onboard. It was all going well until John got told off 🙂

Soon it was time to disembark into tender boats for Santorini. Last year we walked up but it was very hard going, so this year we paid the €6 each to go up in the cable car, a pretty hairy experience which none of us particularly enjoyed!

At the top we bumped into friends Rob & Sue who are on the Celestyal Crystal and just on their way down. Was fab to see them and they are loving their trip.
We ambled through the gorgeous streets, the views are amazing, a very special place.

Tina & Tony didn’t fancy walking up any higher so we arranged to meet them back on board later. We took some lovely photos and even saw a couple getting married. What a backdrop for a wedding.

We walked a long way, then did the endless steps back down with our knees protesting loudly. Once back we went to the a la carte, sat with a couple from the US who had totally different views from the couple last night!

We sat in the Argo bar until time for Alejandro on violin in the main lounge. We were very, very tired but didn’t want to miss tonight’s show, Cabaret which was superb, our favourite so far. Sadly Tina and Tony had to miss dinner and the show as Tony is feeling unwell, hopefully he will be better tomorrow.
