Planning is key

Explore my travel blogs

Travel stories that didn’t cost the earth. Motorhome adventures and explorations by land, sea and air. Hopefully the posts will be informative, inspiring and entertaining.

My grandparents took me to France for a day trip as a treat for passing my 11 plus. It was magical, the passport, the ferry, a different language, cars on the ‘wrong’ side of the road.

I was hooked from then on and always have a long list of places I want to explore.

Back in 2010 my trusty old Nokia N900 had a blogging app and I wrote a diary of our trip to Thailand and haven’t stopped blogging since.

It amazes me that people enjoy reading my blogs. I’m always being asked if we have any travel plans. The next question is ‘are you doing a blog’? Recent questions have been ‘how can I find all your blogs?’

It’s quite intrusive on a trip to find time to write, but I do love to look back on them. They’re currently dotted about on WordPress and gradually will all appear on this site.

It’s turned out to be a much bigger project than I imagined!

We like to travel on a budget, that way we can go on more trips. It’s been nicknamed by friends as Brett Class and we’ve certainly had some hysterical moments.

I know readers tune in to see what nightmare accommodation we have, or to see if our motorhome breaks down. We’ve had some real highlights along the way!

My husband John is a saint. For 15 years he’s put up with me on holiday making notes, getting angry with poor internet, photos that won’t upload and generally being grumpy with all the technical dramas that go along with blogging on a mobile phone!

Thank you John, I know if it was you doing the blogging I’d get really annoyed!

I hope people enjoy the blogs and feel inspired to plan theır own ıtinaries and just get out there and have adventures.
